This roaming visual performance is inspired by popular pin-up Katy Keene, “Fashion Queen” comics from the 1950’s. Katy, attired in thousands of different fashion looks with accessories, was often depicted as a paper doll. Her fans were encouraged to submit original drawings of outfits for Katy that were published in the comic books with full credit.
The artist will promenade along 14th Street wearing a paper doll dress offering passersby a postcard to create their own original fashion design.
