Clare Charnley (UK) and Farah Naz Moon (Bangladesh) walk the street hand in hand, chatting with each other and passers by. This is the first time the two artists meet, though they have been working together for two years. They wear dresses rich with information and visual stories. Both dresses have been cut in half and swapped over. In this way the texts and images on the dresses intersect and connect, forming starting points for conversations.
Project SiteFrom different geographical and personal perspectives Charnley and Moon have been thinking about the production and movement of goods worldwide. They made two dresses, joined in live-streamed performances in front of audiences in Dhaka, Bangladesh and Leeds, UK. In AiOP the work triggers contemplation and conversation.
